Are you taking part? We just started our countdown and we already spotted two pied wagtails and a blackbird. Take an hour over the weekend to observe the wildlife in your garden or somewhere nearby. It's a great way to learn to identify some of our common native species. I'd love to hear what you've spotted on Monday!
We were very lucky today as were visited by Becky, a dance teacher who was born in Malawi and brought up in Zambia. She knew we were learning about Uganda and Fairtrade so she told us a Bagandan story about farming, and we investigated a range of motifs based on traditional African dance. Can you figure out which animals we are supposed to be from these pictures? We then retold parts of the story she had told us through dance. We had lots of fun and it was a good work out too! We are looking forward to using what we learned to help us create our own dances to help reinforce and showcase our learning about cacao.
